About Dongza Thawng and the Door Of Hope Ministry
Dongza Thawng and his wife, Hoiching, son, Levi and daughter, Jemima live in Lamka, Manipur, India. Manipur is a contiguous state with Burma.
Dongza holds Bible studies with college students and families, youth camps, vacation Bible schools, and crusades.
He has also begun Christian couples retreats to heal marriages and a follow-up program for the new believers who committed their lives for Christ during salvation camp (many of whom are recovering alcoholics).
He travels to nearby villages and reaches out to anyone the Lord sends his way with food and the gospel of Jesus Christ and has seen the hand of the Lord moving powerfully.
He and a missionary friend, Junus Khan, also witness to Muslims and Hindus in the area. They have had several converts and are helping them build homes and a new life on some land donated by a local doctor. They are helping them grow in their faith while hiding them from persecution.
And on top of all this, Dongza is translating several Bible study books from English into several of his native dialects so that church lay leaders can grow in their faith and use them for sermons.
